Over the holidays

Please make sure that 3.1 is completed. It is very important that your Concept sketches are detailed and accurate, simple rules to follow are:

  • Use a ruler
  • Annotate everything you can't see e.g. the size of images in px, borders, colours and effects.
  • Your final document must look like your concept sketch
  • When you are creating your concept sketch for your multi-page document you do not have to sketch each page if they repeat the design

Good luck and enjoy your holiday!

  • Colour: Colour scheme, CYMK or RGB, colour harmony, tone, colour associations, highlight
  • Proximity: Layout, organisation, clutter, what should be grouped together

Over the holidays and first week back...

Make sure that your visual diary is up to date
  • Research - evaluate / annotate documents similar to the ones you will be making.
  • Thumbnail sketches for each of your documents.
  • Concept sketches for final ideas - these should be annotated both to describe the document and to say what tools and techniques you plan to use to create them.

Gantt chart

  • This should be updated and saved as a different version with any missed deadlines explained.

Client

  • You may need to meet with your client again, they should approve all concept sketches before you start to create the final designs.

Research and content

  • You should be gathering and creating the content for your documents, remember that if the content is not your original work you will need to gain permission to use the text / image from the author.
